Sunday School at St. Lucas provides an exciting time of bible-based education for children age 3 through grade 6!
Children attend the first half of the Sunday morning Worship Service with their families. After the praise band sings their final song (just before the pastorís message), children leave the service to begin Sunday School in their classrooms. Sunday School goes until 11:30am.
This unique schedule allows children to experience the joy of worshipping God in song, prayer, and giving during the first half of the Worship Service before experiencing a meaningful time of learning in their Sunday School classroom. This schedule also allows parents to share in some fellowship with other adults after the service ends while the children are finishing up in Sunday School.
Sunday School teachers are using Answers in Genesis ABC Sunday school material for all ages. This material covers the entire Bible in chronological order and will take several years to get through. It provides answers to the issues that confront todayís culture through the media, school, friends, etc. ABC provides a thorough understanding of the authority and primary teachings of Scripture. All ages will be equipped to defend the Bible, and become conformed to the image of Christ, as they apply Godís Word in their everyday lives.
Children attend one of the following classes:
• Preschool (ages 3–4)
• Kindergarten–1st Grade
• 2nd Grade–3rd Grade
• 4th Grade–6th Grade
We invite you to join us for our Worship Service and Sunday School each Sunday morning at St. Lucas!
